Description
A half-metre yellow chock that is easy to see and one person can move. Moulded from solid yellow rubber, this chock is about 500mm long, 175mm wide at the base and 160mm high, and weighs about 12kg. A 12mm red rope runs through the centre for carrying it and pulling it from the wheel by hand. Your airline or operator's guidelines set the chock size for each aircraft type, so check those before you order. The price is for one chock.

Why this chock works
The middle length. At 500mm it gives more tyre contact than our 250mm and 333mm yellow chocks, at half the weight of the 1000mm one.
Yellow all the way through. The colour is in the rubber itself, so scuffs and apron wear won't reveal a black layer underneath.
Red rope, yellow body. Two contrasting colours make both the chock and its rope easy to spot before anything moves.
No wrong way up. The triangular section has three matching faces, so a flat face always sits on the ground and a sloped face meets the tyre.
No load rating or test standard is published for this line. If your specification needs either, call us before you order.
Where it is used
Use it at maintenance hangars, on general aviation and business aviation aprons, and on busy stands where high visibility matters, wherever your procedure calls for a chock of about this length.

Which chock do you need?
| Your situation | Choose |
|---|---|
| Yellow rubber, 500mm long | This chock |
| Yellow rubber, shorter at 333mm | 175 x 160 x 333mm chock |
| Yellow rubber, a full metre long | 175 x 160 x 1000mm chock |
| Black rubber, blue rope, 500mm long | 170 x 155 x 500mm chock |
| A steel handle as well as the rope | Cast steel handle or steel hand grip |
Care
Check the chock and rope before use, and replace the rope if it is frayed. SBR rubber does not resist oil or fuel well, so wipe off fuel and hydraulic fluid promptly.
Frequently asked questions
Is the price for one chock or a pair?
The price is for one chock with its rope. Set the quantity to 2 for one each side of a wheel.
Is reflective tape included?
No. Call us if you need it and we will check what can be supplied.
Will it suit my aircraft?
That depends on your airline or operator's guidelines, which set the length and size of chock for each aircraft type. We can't approve a chock for an aircraft type, so please check first.
