Description
Trailers that rise and drop on their suspension can catch the edge of a short bumper and rip it off the wall. This 750 x 250 x 100mm rubber dock bumper gives them a much taller face to meet, so the contact stays in the middle of the block. It weighs 19.5kg, bolts to your dock face through three recessed holes, and comes with free fixings included. If you run a busy goods-in bay or a mixed fleet, and shorter bumpers keep tearing or coming away, this is the one to fit. The price shown is for one bumper, and most doors need two.

Why this bumper works
Height stops under-riding. At 750mm tall, the bumper reaches far enough down that an HGV is much less likely to ride under it and pull it off the wall. Fit it with a bracket and you can also help stop the vehicle riding over the top.
Three fixings, not two. The holes run in one line, 100mm in from each end and 275mm apart. That spreads the pull along the full length of the block.
The bolts sit below the surface. Each hole is 75mm wide for the first 50mm, then 30mm through to the wall. The bolt head and washer sit inside the recess, with rubber standing in front of them, away from the face the trailer touches.
Rubber that suits an open yard. It is a durable, solid moulded block of SBR and natural rubber, with a hardness of 70-75 Shore A (+/- 5), good tear resistance and a service temperature of -15°C to 70°C.
Set your own stand-off. The bumper stands 100mm off the wall. Packers bring that out to 115, 120 or 150mm, so you can match the projection your dock and trailers need.
No compression or load figure is published for this line. If your specification needs one, call us before you order.
Where it is used
Use it on concrete dock faces beside levellers, on raised loading platforms at distribution centres, and at factory goods-in doors that see trailers of different heights. It also suits walls where a shorter bumper has already been torn off. Fit one each side of a door, so allow two per door when you set your quantity.

| Part | What it does |
|---|---|
|
15mm rubber packer 750 x 250 x 15mm, 3.8kg |
Plain, no holes. Fine adjustment of stand-off without losing the bumper's ability to compress |
|
20mm rubber packer 750 x 250 x 20mm, 5kg |
Plain, no holes. A little more stand-off |
|
50mm rubber packer 750 x 250 x 50mm, 12kg |
The most spacing. Three holes in the bumper's pattern: 75mm recess, 20mm deep, then 28mm through |
|
Spring back plate 965 x 255 x 66mm, 50kg |
Steel. Lets the bumper slide down as the trailer is loaded, then return when it moves away |
|
Steel front plate 760 x 260 x 60mm, 26.5kg |
Side cheeks make it much stronger than a flat plate. The steel takes the rubbing while the bumper behind compresses. Holes at 280mm centres |
Packers are a cost-effective way to increase the bumper depth. The 15mm and 20mm packers are drilled on site to match the bumper. The spring back plate is compatible with a variety of 750mm high dock bumpers and comes with fixings for attaching this one; other fixings are needed to attach the assembly to the loading bay. The front plate takes a slightly smaller M24 washer than the bumper does, so ask us if you are fitting one.

Fitting and care
You need 750 x 250mm of clear, sound surface, in line with the part of the trailer that reaches the dock first. Mark out from the dimension drawing, then offer the bumper up and check the holes before you drill. It weighs 19.5kg, so plan for two people. Allow longer fixings if you fit a packer. Have a competent installer confirm that the wall and anchors suit your dock, because a bumper can only pass on what its fixing point can take.
Check the rubber and fixings during routine dock inspections, and replace the bumper once it is torn or worn back towards the bolt heads. A dock bumper protects the building and vehicle from routine contact. It is not a vehicle restraint and does not replace wheel chocks or a banksman.
Frequently asked questions
Is the price for one bumper or a pair?
The price is for one bumper. Most doors use one on each side, so set the quantity to 2 for each door you are protecting.
Are fixings included?
Yes, free fixings are included with the bumper. If your wall needs a particular type of anchor, call us before you order. The holes are 30mm through, opening to 75mm wide for the bolt head and washer.
Will it replace my worn 750mm bumper?
Check your existing holes first. This bumper's are 275mm apart and 100mm in from each end, on a 750 x 250mm block. If yours match, it should line up with your existing fixing points.
Do I need a back plate or front plate?
No. The bumper can fix directly to a sound wall through its three holes. A front plate takes the rubbing on a busy door, and a spring back plate lets the bumper travel with the trailer. Both are optional.
What is it made from?
A blend of SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber) and natural rubber, which is a general-purpose dock bumper compound. If trailers rub up and down on the face rather than meeting it square, look at our low friction faced bumper instead.
