Description
On a twin track strip curtain, every PVC strip is held by its own aluminium plate. Lose one, bend one, or add a strip, and you need another plate that matches. These extruded aluminium fixing plates clamp PVC strips to aluminium twin track rails. Each plate comes with M8 bolts and nuts: the bolt heads slide into the grooves in the rail, the strip goes over the bolts, and the plate clamps it flat when you tighten the nuts. Choose 200mm, 300mm or 400mm to match the width of your strips. The price shown is per plate and includes VAT.
Which plate do I need?
Match the plate to the width of the PVC strip it holds. Count the holes along an old plate, or measure the strip: on our plates and strips, 200mm takes 2 bolts, 300mm takes 3 and 400mm takes 4. You need one plate for every strip on the rail. When you choose a size, the photo changes to show that plate.

Strips to go with them
All our twin track strips come cut to length and drilled to suit these plates: clear, ribbed, freezer, black or red, transparent colour, welding, food grade and anti-static.
How they fit
Slide the heads of the M8 bolts into the grooves along the face of the rail and move them to where you want the strip. Push the holes along the top of the strip over the bolts, lay the plate over the top edge, and tighten the nuts evenly so the strip is clamped flat. Because the bolts slide along the rail, you can set the overlap between strips to whatever the doorway needs. On a high rail, work from a safe platform such as a podium step.
Cutting your own strips? Lay a plate across the end of the strip, mark through the holes and drill 8mm holes. The plate is your template, so every strip lines up.

Safety
Twin track curtains suit doors used by people, trolleys and pallet trucks. If the doorway takes heavy or regular forklift traffic, a swivel hinge curtain is the better choice, because each strip swings on its own hinge; see our swivel hinge strips in 300mm or 400mm. Check the nuts are tight when you replace strips, and replace any plate that is bent or cracked.

Are the bolts and nuts included?
Yes. Each plate comes with M8 bolts and nuts to clamp it to the rail.
How many plates do I need?
One per strip. Count the strips on your rail, or work out the number of strips from the width of the opening and the overlap you want, and call us if you would like us to check the numbers.
Will these fit my rail?
They fit aluminium twin track rails, the slim extruded rail with two parallel grooves along its face. If your strips hang from hooks or from hinges on a round tube, these are not the right part. Send a photo to sales@industrialsuppliesco.co.uk and we will check.
Can I use them with thick strips?
Yes. The plates take PVC strips of any grade, from 2mm light duty up to 4mm heavy duty, as long as the strip width matches the plate.
Why is there a minimum order?
The minimum order is 10 plates in total, and you can mix sizes. If you need fewer, call 01744 520 110.
