Description
A long, narrow rubber bumper for loading docks, where you want rubber down the full height of the dock face without a wide block. It is 775mm long, 115mm wide at the wall and 77mm deep, so it fits the strip of wall beside a leveller or door opening and covers more height than a short block. It is moulded in one piece from SBR rubber with fibre, and it fixes through six recessed holes with M12 fixings, included free. It suits site maintenance teams, loading bay installers and facilities managers replacing worn or missing bumpers.
- 775 x 115 x 77mm, 98mm across the face
- Free fixings included: six M12 through stud anchors
- Weight 6.5kg
- SBR rubber with fibre, moulded in one piece
- Six fixing holes for M12 fixings, at 132mm centres
- Bolt heads sit down in 38mm recesses, 45mm deep
- Sold singly, and most doors use two

Why It Works
Long cover from a narrow bar
At 775mm long the bumper covers most of the height of a typical dock face when fitted upright, so a trailer meets rubber whether it is riding high or low on its suspension. At 115mm wide it needs very little wall, which helps beside a leveller frame or on a narrow pier where a 250mm block will not fit.
Six fixings spread the load
The six fixing points run down the centre line at 132mm centres, about 57mm in from each end. Spreading the fixings along the whole length means a knock near either end is held close to where it lands, rather than levering on two bolts in the middle.
The fixings sit below the surface
Each hole has a recess 38mm across at the face, narrowing to 29mm at 45mm deep, then a 13.5mm hole through the last 32mm of rubber to the wall. The bolt head and washer sit down inside the recess, so the vehicle meets rubber and not steel.
Load figures
No compression or load figure is published for this line. If your specification needs one, call us before you order.
Where It's Used
It goes on loading docks at warehouses, distribution centres, factories and builders' merchants, fixed upright either side of a leveller or door opening. It also works fitted along the face of a raised dock edge or a loading platform where vans and small trucks back up. For a busy HGV bay where trailers rub up and down all day, look at the low friction bumpers below as well.

Installation, Use & Care
At 6.5kg one person can lift it, though a second pair of hands makes it easier to hold upright while you mark the holes. Fit it with the wide 115mm side against the wall and the narrower face towards the vehicle. Mark through all six holes, drill, and fix with the six free M12 through stud anchors, which are for sound concrete. A standard M12 washer sits on the floor of each recess. Have a competent installer confirm that the wall and anchors suit the loads where you are fitting it.
Check the rubber and fixings during routine inspections, and replace the bumper once it is badly torn or worn. A dock bumper protects against routine contact. It is not a vehicle restraint and does not replace wheel chocks or safe docking procedures.
FAQ
What is it made of?
Styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) with fibre, moulded in one piece. There is no steel plate inside or behind it, so there is nothing to rust.
Are fixings included?
Yes. Each bumper comes with six M12 through stud anchors, 100 to 125mm long, for fixing into sound concrete. For brick, block or steel, use M12 fixings to suit that surface.
Can I fit it horizontally?
Yes. The holes run down the centre line, so it fixes the same way upright or lying along a dock edge. Upright beside the door is the usual position on a loading dock.
Is the price for one or a pair?
The price shown is for one bumper. Most doors use one each side, so order a quantity of 2 to protect both sides of a bay.
Is this big enough for a busy HGV dock?
It is a slim bumper, so on a dock taking heavy articulated trailers all day a deeper or low friction bumper may suit you better. No load figure is published for it. Call us if you are unsure.
