Description
When a round load wants to roll, a metre of chock goes a long way. This strip stops rolls of paper, coils of steel and similar loads from moving, and it also works as a small wheel chock. It comes in one metre lengths, about 157mm wide and 72mm high, and you can cut it to the length you need. It weighs about 7kg per metre. The price is for one length.
Why this chock works
A long, continuous stop. A single metre of chock supports along the full width of a coil or reel, rather than at one or two points.
A thin lip that slides under. The profile tapers to a thin lip that goes under the curve of the load, rising to a rounded nose on the outside edge.
Cut to suit. You can cut it to fit a particular load, racking bay or vehicle bed.
Hollow to save weight. The moulded chambers keep it to about 7kg for a full metre, so one person can move and place it.
No load rating or test standard is published for this line. Check it against your own load securing plan, and call us if your specification needs a rated product.
Where it is used
Use it in steel stockholders and paper mills, in warehouses storing reels and rolled goods, and in small vehicle workshops. It can also go on a vehicle bed for use with the rest of your load restraint.

How to use it safely
- Check the floor is flat, clean and dry.
- Slide the thin lip under the curve of the load.
- Use a strip on each side of a coil or reel.
- Cut it with a sharp blade, cutting away from you.
- Stand clear of the load's path when you remove a strip.

Do you cut it for me?
It is supplied in one metre lengths for you to cut on site. If you need a set size, call us on 01744 520 110 and we can check whether it can be supplied cut.
Can I use it to chock a lorry?
No. It has no published vehicle rating, so use a rated chock on vans and lorries. It suits small wheels and round loads.
What can I cut it with?
A sharp blade or a fine-toothed saw will do it. Support the strip and cut away from you.
