Description
The narrow pad, for where the body rests on a slim section of chassis. When a tipping body comes down, steel meets steel unless something sits between them. This pad puts a block of rubber at that point, which helps reduce noise and prevent expensive damage and wear to the bodywork and paintwork. At only about 40mm wide, it is the slimmest of our tipper pads. It measures about 150 x 40 x 30mm overall and weighs about 0.4kg. The price is for one pad.

Why this pad works
Rubber where the body lands. The 100mm long rubber block takes the contact between the body and the chassis, in place of bare metal.
A plate at each end. The steel base runs about 25mm past the rubber at each end, leaving room to fix it down clear of the block.
A narrow footprint. At about 40mm wide, it suits a narrow seat where our 75mm and 88mm wide pads won't fit.
Where it is used
Use it on the chassis of tipper lorries, tipping trailers and other tipping bodies, in quarries, on construction sites and in haulage fleets, whether you are fitting new pads or replacing worn ones.

How to fit it
- Raise the body and prop it safely before you work under it.

- Fix the base flat on the rail with the rubber facing up, as your body builder advises.
- Lower the body slowly and check that it lands square on the rubber.
Which pad do you need?
| Your situation | Choose |
|---|---|
| A narrow 40mm seat | This pad |
| A wider, flat pad on a steel base | 152 x 88 x 28mm steel base pad |
| A long contact area on a steel base | 355 x 75 x 30mm pad |
| A base with fixing holes already in it | 180 x 75 x 34mm pad with 2 holes |
Care
Check the pad when you service the vehicle, and replace it if the rubber is split or worn down. SBR rubber does not resist oil or fuel well, so keep the pad clear of leaks and grease.
Frequently asked questions
Is the price for one pad or a set?
The price is for one pad. Set the quantity to the number of points where your body meets the chassis.
Will it fit my tipper?
No vehicle fit list is published, so measure the seat and the rail, and compare them with the sizes above. If you are replacing an old pad, measure that too.
Are fixings included?
No. The drawing shows no fixing holes, so check the fixing method with your body builder.
