For a bigger gap between the body and the rail. With about 38mm of rubber on a 5mm aluminium base, this pad stands about 43mm high, around 15mm taller than our low 152 x 88mm pads. Fitted as a rubbing pad on the chassis of a tipping body, it helps reduce noise and prevent expensive damage and wear to the bodywork and paintwork. It measures about 152 x 88 x 43mm overall and weighs about 0.7kg. The price is for one pad.

Why this pad works

More rubber depth. The rubber block is about 38mm deep, against about 23mm on the low version with the same footprint.

A broad contact area. The block is about 100 x 88mm, the full width of the base.

Aluminium base. The 5mm aluminium plate keeps the weight down, and aluminium does not rust.

Where it is used

Use it on the chassis of tipper lorries, tipping trailers and other tipping bodies, where a low pad would leave the body sitting clear of the rubber.

How to fit it

Raise the body and prop it safely before you work under it.
Measure the gap between the body and the rail, and mark where they meet.
Fix the base flat on the rail with the rubber facing up, as your body builder advises.
Lower the body slowly and check that it lands square on the rubber.
