Description
The biggest section we make, in a short, easy-to-handle length. This chock has a 225mm face, the largest aircraft chock section we sell, yet it is only about 250mm long, so one person can carry it by its rope loop. It is about 195mm high, weighs about 11kg and is moulded from solid black rubber. Your airline or operator's guidelines set the chock size for each aircraft type, so check those before you order. The price is for one chock.

Why this chock works
Our largest section. The 225mm face and 195mm height stand tall against a large tyre, and this section is made with larger aircraft in mind.
Short and manageable. At about 250mm long and 11kg, it is the lightest chock we sell in this section, where the 1000mm version weighs about 42kg.
Yellow rope on black rubber. The rope loop shows up against the chock and the apron, and it is there for carrying and for pulling the chock from the wheel by hand.
No wrong way up. The triangular section has three matching faces, so one face always sits on the ground and a sloped face meets the tyre.
Ribbed on every face. Rounded ribs run the full length of all three faces, giving the rubber edges against the tyre and the ground.
No load rating or test standard is published for this line. If your specification needs either, call us before you order.
Where it is used
Use it on aprons, at maintenance hangars and on stands where your procedure calls for a large section but only a short length, such as a single main wheel.

- Set one chock tight against each side of the tyre, square across its path.
- Keep the rope clear of the wheel, laid out to the side.
- When you are told it is safe, pull the chocks clear by the rope.
Which chock do you need?
| Your situation | Choose |
|---|---|
| Large section, short 250mm length | This chock |
| Large section, 333mm long | 225 x 195 x 333mm chock |
| Large section, 500mm long | 225 x 195 x 500mm chock |

Care
Check the chock and rope before use, and replace the rope if it is frayed. SBR rubber does not resist oil or fuel well, so wipe off fuel and hydraulic fluid promptly.
Frequently asked questions
Is the price for one chock or a pair?
The price is for one chock with its rope. Set the quantity to 2 for one each side of a wheel.
Can I have a different rope colour?
Yes, at extra cost. Call us for a price.
Will it suit my aircraft?
That depends on your airline or operator's guidelines, which set the length and size of chock for each aircraft type. We can't approve a chock for an aircraft type, so please check first.
