Description
When a loading bay wears through ordinary dock bumper faces, this is the harder option. It is a solid yellow cast nylon face, 750 x 250 x 50mm, with three deep recesses so the bolts sit below the surface where a trailer cannot reach them. It is the face only: bolt it to a rubber packer and back plate, either as a new bumper or as an upgrade on a 750mm set-up you already have.

Why choose a cast nylon face
Harder, for longer life. Nylon is harder than UHMWPE and lasts longer, though it costs more. It suits a busy bay where you would rather change a face less often.
Bolts sit below the surface. Each hole is 30mm through, inside a 75mm recess 25mm deep from the face. The bolt head and washer sit in the recess, so the trailer meets nylon and not steel.
Three fixings along the length. At 750mm long, the face is held at three points, 275mm apart, so it stays tight to the packer from end to end.
A chamfered edge. The edge is chamfered all round, with no sharp corner on the contact face.
Easy for a driver to see. The yellow face stands out against grey concrete, which helps when lining up in the mirrors.
Build it to the depth you need. The face is 50mm thick. A rubber packer behind it sets the overall depth and keeps some give in the assembly, and the packer comes in several thicknesses.
Where it is used
Busy goods-in and despatch bays at distribution centres, parcel depots and factories, where a standard face wears quickly and a harder one is worth the extra cost. The 750mm length covers more of the trailer's height range than a 450mm face.

Fitting and care
Fix the back plate to the dock first, then bolt the packer and nylon face to it through the three holes at 275mm centres. Our 750mm back plate has three M24 threaded holes for 750mm bumpers. Check the holes against your own plate before you fit, and make sure the bolts are long enough to pass through the face, the packer and into the plate. Have a competent installer confirm that the wall and fixings suit the loads at your dock.
Check the face and bolts during routine dock inspections. A dock bumper protects the building and vehicle from routine contact. It is not a vehicle restraint and does not replace wheel chocks or a banksman.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a complete dock bumper?
No, it is the face only. It needs a back plate and normally a rubber packer, both sold separately. The photos of the full assembly show those parts fitted.
Are the fixings included?
No. The bolt length depends on the packer you choose. The holes are 30mm through, and the 75mm recess takes a bolt head and washer. Call us if you want to talk it through.
Will it fit my existing 750mm back plate?
It fits our 750 x 255 x 15mm back plate, which has three M24 threaded holes for 750mm bumpers. For another make, check that the hole centres match before you order.
How is nylon different from yellow UHMWPE?
Nylon is harder and lasts longer, but costs more. UHMWPE has a very low friction surface and is the lower cost choice.
How many do I need per door?
Most loading bays use two bumpers, one each side of the dock leveller. The price shown is for one nylon face.
