Description
A long run of rubber for a long seat. Most of our tipper pads have a rubber block of 100 to 120mm. This one has a block about 290mm long, so the body has far more rubber to land on along the chassis rail. Fitted as a rubbing pad on a tipping body, it helps reduce noise and prevent expensive damage and wear to the bodywork and paintwork. It measures about 355 x 75 x 30mm overall and weighs about 1.35kg. The price is for one pad.
Why this pad works
A long contact area. The rubber runs for about 290mm of the 355mm base, so the contact is spread along the rail.
Low profile. At about 30mm overall, it suits a small gap. For a bigger gap, see the 44mm version.
A thin steel base. The 3mm steel plate sticks out about 32mm past the rubber at each end, leaving clear metal to fix down.
Where it is used
Use it on the chassis of larger tipper lorries, tipping trailers and other tipping bodies, where your existing pads are long or the body sits on a long stretch of rail.

How to fit it
- Raise the body and prop it safely before you work under it.
- Mark where the body meets the chassis rail.
- Fix the base flat on the rail with the rubber facing up, as your body builder advises.
- Lower the body slowly and check that it lands square on the rubber.

Care
Check the pad when you service the vehicle, and replace it if the rubber is split or worn down. SBR rubber does not resist oil or fuel well, so keep the pad clear of leaks and grease. Treat any bare steel as you would the rest of the chassis.

The price is for one pad. Set the quantity to the number of points where your body meets the chassis.
Will it fit my tipper?
No vehicle fit list is published, so measure the seat and the rail, and compare them with the sizes above. If you are replacing an old pad, measure that too.
Are fixings included?
No. The drawing shows no fixing holes, so check the fixing method with your body builder.
