Description
The dished pad, with a dip across the top of the rubber. Unlike our flat pads, this one is concave: the rubber is shaped lower in the middle than at the sides. Fitted as a rubbing pad on the chassis of a tipping body, it puts rubber between the body and the rail. It has an aluminium base with two fixing holes already in it, measures about 190 x 115mm, stands 20 to 26mm high overall and weighs about 0.6kg. The price is for one pad.

Why this pad works
A concave top. The rubber is dished across its width. If your body has a rounded seat or your old pad was dished, this is the shape to look at.
Ready to bolt down. The base has two 7.5mm holes at 150mm centres, one at each end, clear of the rubber.
The widest pad we list. At about 115mm wide, the base is the widest of our tipper pads, with a rubber block about 120 x 112mm.
Aluminium base. The 6mm aluminium plate keeps the weight down, and aluminium does not rust.
Where it is used
Use it on the chassis of tipper lorries, tipping trailers and other tipping bodies, especially to replace a worn pad with the same dished shape.

How to fit it
- Raise the body and prop it safely before you work under it.
- Mark where the body meets the chassis rail, then mark and drill the rail to match the holes.
- Bolt through both holes with the rubber facing up. Bolts are not included.
- Lower the body slowly and check that it lands square on the rubber.
Which pad do you need?
| Your situation | Choose |
|---|---|
| A dished top and a wide base | This pad |
| A flat top with 2 fixing holes | 180 x 75 x 34mm pad |
| A flat top with 4 fixing holes | 180 x 75 x 45mm pad |
| A flat, broad aluminium base pad | 152 x 88 x 28mm pad |
Care
Check the pad when you service the vehicle, and replace it if the rubber is split or worn down. SBR rubber does not resist oil or fuel well, so keep the pad clear of leaks and grease.
Frequently asked questions
Is the price for one pad or a set?
The price is for one pad. Set the quantity to the number of points where your body meets the chassis.
Will it fit my tipper?
No vehicle fit list is published, so measure the seat and the rail, and compare them with the sizes above. If you are replacing an old pad, measure that too.
Are bolts included?
No. The holes are 7.5mm, so choose bolts to suit those and your chassis.
