Description
A long, deep seat along the chassis rail. With a rubber block about 290mm long and 39mm deep, this is the longest of our deep pads. Fitted as a rubbing pad on a tipping body, it helps reduce noise and prevent expensive damage and wear to the bodywork and paintwork. It sits on a 5mm aluminium base, measures about 355 x 75 x 44mm overall and weighs about 1.4kg. The price is for one pad.
Why this pad works
A long contact area. The rubber runs for about 290mm of the 355mm base, so the contact is spread along the rail.
More depth than the steel version. It stands about 44mm high, against about 30mm for our other long pad, for a bigger gap under the body.
Aluminium base. The aluminium plate does not rust and sticks out about 32mm past the rubber at each end, leaving clear metal to fix down.
Where it is used
Use it on the chassis of larger tipper lorries, tipping trailers and other tipping bodies, where your existing pads are long or the body sits on a long stretch of rail.

How to fit it
- Raise the body and prop it safely before you work under it.
- Mark where the body meets the chassis rail.
- Fix the base flat on the rail with the rubber facing up, as your body builder advises.
- Lower the body slowly and check that it lands square on the rubber.

Care
Check the pad when you service the vehicle, and replace it if the rubber is split or worn down. SBR rubber does not resist oil or fuel well, so keep the pad clear of leaks and grease.

The price is for one pad. Set the quantity to the number of points where your body meets the chassis.
Will it fit my tipper?
No vehicle fit list is published, so measure the seat and the rail, and compare them with the sizes above. If you are replacing an old pad, measure that too.
Are fixings included?
No. The drawing shows no fixing holes, so check the fixing method with your body builder.
