Description
Solid white PVC strip, cut to the length you need, for strip curtains that screen or mark a doorway. This is opaque white strip curtain PVC with square cut ends and no plate, holes or fixings. Use it for screening, privacy and marker strips in food, commercial and industrial buildings: a full white curtain hides what is behind it, and a few white strips at the edges of a clear curtain mark the opening for drivers and pedestrians. Choose 200mm x 2mm or 300mm x 3mm, in lengths from 1000mm to 5000mm.
Why solid white strip
Opaque, not clear. White strip screens a view completely while keeping a clean, bright look that suits food factories, kitchens, clinics and retail back-of-house areas. Hung at the edges of a clear curtain, a few white strips mark the doorway so drivers and pedestrians can see where the opening is.
Still a working barrier. Like clear strip, it holds back draughts, dust, noise and some heat, and people and trolleys walk straight through. Because nobody can see through it, use it only where people do not need to see oncoming traffic, or mix it with clear strips in the traffic lane.
- Fully opaque white: screens, marks and blocks light
- Flexible and impact resistant, 0°C to +40°C
- Plain square cut ends, no plate, holes or fixings
- DOP free and REACH compliant
Where it is used
Food factory and kitchen store doors, back-of-house doorways in shops, clinics and laboratories, screened storage areas, and marker strips at the edges of clear warehouse curtains.
Which size do I need?
| Strip | Recommended max drop | Duty |
|---|---|---|
| 200mm x 2mm | 3m | Light duty |
| 300mm x 3mm | 5.5m | Medium duty |
To repair a curtain or add coloured strips to it, match the width and thickness of the strips already on it. Measure an old strip end to end for the length. Lengths run from 1000mm to 5000mm in 200mm steps. If you fall between two, go up one and trim with a sharp knife against a straight edge. Need a longer length? Call us for a quote.
Fitting to your rail
These strips are plain, with square cut ends and no plate or holes. They suit rails that clamp or bolt the strip in place. For a hook-on or QuickMount rail, call us and we will advise on fitting white strip to it.

Fitting and care
Strips are cut from the roll and travel rolled, so a slight curl is normal. Unroll them flat overnight before fitting and the curl drops out, more slowly in the cold. Fit inside the doorway where you can, as full exposure to weather shortens PVC life. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth, not solvents or abrasive pads.
Frequently asked questions
Can people see through it?
No. Solid white PVC is fully opaque. Where forklifts and pedestrians share a doorway, keep clear strips in the traffic lane so each can see the other, and use white at the edges or where nobody walks through.
Can I mix white strips into my clear curtain?
Yes. Choose the same width and thickness as your clear strips and they hang and overlap in the same way.
Can I use it in a freezer?
It is rated 0°C to +40°C and stiffens in the cold, so it is not for freezers. For sub-zero doors see our freezer PVC strip cut to length.
Do these come with plates or holes?
No. They are plain strips with square cut ends.
Why is there a minimum order?
Strips are cut to order, so we supply a minimum of 10 per order. Need fewer, or a length outside this range? Call 01744 520 110.
Need more, or a whole curtain?
If you need 30 metres or more of one size, our 50m white PVC roll costs less per metre. For see-through strip choose our clear PVC strip cut to length. For a complete curtain see our ready-made solid colour hook-on kit or solid colour QuickMount kit.
