A heavy-overlap clear PVC strip curtain for big workshop and industrial unit doorways, 3 to 4 metres high. Raise the roller shutter, leave the doorway open all day and the curtain holds back the wind, rain, cold and dust while staff, pallet trucks and careful forklift traffic drive straight through. Each strip overlaps the next by 95mm on each side (sold as 63% overlap), roughly twice the overlap of a standard door kit, so the curtain seals far better against draughts. Every kit comes with 430 grade stainless steel hook-on rails and 300mm x 3mm clear PVC strips cut to your height with plates fitted. Choose from 14 widths, 2555mm to 5220mm, and 6 heights, 3000mm to 4000mm. Every size is priced in full inc VAT.

Why fit one to a workshop door?

The heat stays in. A big shutter left open in winter empties a heated unit in minutes. With the curtain hung, the doorway stays open for work but warm air is held back, so heaters run less and the people working near the door stay comfortable.

A tighter seal than a standard curtain. With 300mm strips on a 205mm pitch, every gap between strips is covered twice over. That cuts draughts, wind-driven rain, dust and flying insects far better than a light pedestrian kit with a small overlap.

Traffic keeps moving. No more opening and closing the shutter every time a pallet comes in. Pedestrians, trolleys, pallet trucks and careful forklift traffic pass straight through and the strips fall back into place behind them.

You can still see who is coming. The PVC is clear, so drivers and pedestrians can see each other through the doorway and daylight still gets in.

Choosing your size

Width. Measure between the inside edges of the opening and choose a curtain at least 100mm wider, so the outer strips cover the frame or shutter guides. All sizes are nominal.

Height. Measure from where the rail will be fixed, usually the underside of the lintel or the shutter box, to the floor. Between two heights? Fitting and care

Fix the rail across the full width of the opening to a structurally sound surface: face-fixed to the wall above the doorway, or soffit-fixed under the lintel or a steel header, with fixings to suit your wall. On a roller shutter door, fit the rail inside, below the shutter box, so the shutter can still close. Hook each strip on and check the overlap. Strips travel rolled: lay them flat overnight before hanging and any curl drops out. Fitting inside the door rather than on the outside face gives the PVC a longer life. Damaged strips hook off and can be replaced one at a time. Wipe clean with warm soapy water.
