Description
A frosted PVC strip curtain on a push-fit QuickMount rail: daylight comes through, but the view does not. The frosted strips work like bathroom glass, so a stockroom, staff area, treatment room or messy back-of-house stays out of sight while the doorway stays bright and easy to walk through. The kit hangs 200mm strips sold as 50% overlap on a toughened polypropylene peg rail with no metal plates. Choose from 12 widths, 813mm to 2489mm, and 6 heights, 2000mm to 2500mm. Every size is priced in full inc VAT, so there are no add-ons at checkout.

Frosted strips reduce visibility, so people on either side see only a soft shape. Where trolleys or forklifts pass, think about whether staff need a clearer view, and use clear strips on those routes.
Choosing your size
Width. Measure between the inside edges of the opening and choose a curtain a little wider, so the outer strips cover the frame. For a 900mm door the 965mm curtain is right. All sizes are nominal.
Height. Measure from the underside of the frame to the floor. Between two heights? Go up one and trim the strips with a sharp knife to finish just above the floor.

Why it works
Privacy with daylight. The frosted PVC diffuses light, so the opening stays bright on both sides while people, stock and activity are hidden.
A deeper overlap. Each 200mm strip starts 152mm along from the last, overlapping by 48mm each side. That closes the gaps between strips, which helps cut draughts, dust and noise as well as views.
No metal plates to fall. The strips push onto moulded pegs. If a strip is knocked off there is nothing hard attached to it, which is why push-fit rails are chosen for schools, nurseries and healthcare.
Easy upkeep. A damaged strip pulls off and a new one pushes on in a minute, with no tools.

Fitting and care
Fix the rail securely across the full width of the opening, face-fixed to the wall above or soffit-fixed inside the opening, with fixings to suit your wall. Push each strip onto the pegs and check the overlap. Strips travel rolled: lay them flat overnight before hanging and any curl settles. Fit inside wherever you can, because weather shortens PVC life. Clean with warm soapy water.
Frequently asked questions
Can you see through it?
Not clearly. Light comes through and you can tell someone is there, but faces, stock and detail are blurred.
Can trolleys go through?
Yes, pedestrians and light trolleys. For pallet trucks or forklifts, call 01744 520 110 and we will advise on a clearer, heavier strip.
Is it a fire door?
No. A fire rating is not published for this line, so it must not replace a fire door or block an escape route.
Can I buy spare strips later?
Yes. Call us with your curtain size and we will cut frosted strips to match. Clear and coloured QuickMount strips are listed as clear spares and transparent colour spares.
Do you have a hook-on version?
Yes, our frosted hook-on strip curtain hangs on a stainless rail with metal plates.
