Description
A bright orange marker post that bends when it is hit and stands back up, so routes stay marked without damaging the vehicle. This 750mm flexible bollard bolts to the floor to mark the edge of a walkway, a lane, a bay or a turning point. It is made from fluorescent orange polyurethane with three high-intensity reflective bands on the upper half, so it shows up in daylight, under warehouse lighting and in headlights after dark. The post is about 80mm across and rises from a round 200mm base with three fixing holes. At about 1.4kg it is light enough to carry and fit by hand. The price is for one bollard.

Why this bollard works
It gives way rather than fighting back. Polyurethane flexes when a bumper or a pallet truck catches it, then returns upright. A rigid post would dent the vehicle or snap off at the base; this one is made to take the knock and keep marking the line.
Seen from a distance. The whole post is fluorescent orange, which stands out against grey concrete, tarmac and racking. The three reflective bands sit on the upper half, where headlights and eyes pick them up at night and in dim corners of a building.
One round base, three fixings. The base is 200mm across with three 13mm fixing holes spaced evenly around it, each in a 30mm recess 21mm deep, so the bolt heads sit below the top of the base and the post is held from every side.
Stated bearing capacity of 20,000kg. The manufacturer gives a bearing capacity of 20,000kg. The test method behind that figure is not published, so treat it as a guide to how robust the moulding is, not as a rating for any vehicle.
Where it is used
Use it along pedestrian walkways in warehouses and factories, at the ends of racking aisles, at the corners of loading bays and yard lanes, to split car park entrance and exit lanes, around drop-off points, and to keep traffic off a footpath or a newly painted area. Several in a row make a clear, low-cost lane divider.

How to fit it
- Choose the position and check the floor is sound and level. Loose block paving and gravel will not hold the fixings.
- Stand the bollard in place and mark all 3 base holes.
- Drill and fit 3 M10 or M12 through bolts, with washers that fit inside the 30mm recesses.
- Tighten the fixings evenly so the base sits flat.
- Check the fixings now and then, and after any impact.
Which one do you need?
| Your situation | Choose |
|---|---|
| A bright orange marker for walkways, lanes and bays | This 750mm flexible bollard |
| A taller post that drivers see from the seat, for lane dividers and entrances | 1000mm orange flexible bollard |
| Something that physically stops a vehicle | 89 x 1000mm steel bollard or 89 x 600mm steel bollard |
| A post you can fold down to let a car through | lockable folding parking post |
| Fixings for this bollard into concrete | M12 x 80mm through bolts, pack of 2, so 2 packs per bollard |
Care
Wash the post with water and a mild detergent to keep the orange and the reflective bands bright, as dirt cuts down how well they show at night. Check the fixings now and then. Replace the bollard if it no longer stands upright after an impact or the base splits.
Frequently asked questions
Will it stop a vehicle?
No. It is a flexible marker post, designed to bend and recover, not to protect a building or equipment. Where something must be physically protected, use a steel bollard.
Are fixings included?
No. You need 3 fixings per bollard. M10 or M12 through bolts pass through the 13mm holes. Our M12 x 80mm through bolts for concrete come in packs of 2, so order 2 packs per bollard.
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes, yards, car parks and site roads are common places for it. No UV or weather rating is published for this line, so check the colour and bands from time to time.
What does the 20,000kg bearing capacity mean?
It is the manufacturer's figure for the moulding. The test behind it is not published, so do not read it as a guarantee that the post will survive being driven over by any vehicle.
