Tall Rubber Tipper Pad with Aluminium Base, 2 Fixing Holes - 180 x 75 x 50 mm

The tallest of our tipper pads. With about 46mm of rubber on a 4mm aluminium base, this pad stands about 50mm high, for a bigger gap between the body and the rail. Fitted as a rubbing pad on the chassis of a tipping body, it helps reduce noise and prevent expensive damage and wear to the bodywork and paintwork. Two 7mm fixing holes are already in the base. It measures about 180 x 75 x 50mm overall and weighs about 0.6kg. The price is for one pad.

Why this pad works

The most rubber depth we list. The block is about 46mm deep, so it fills a bigger gap than any of our other pads.

Fixing holes in place. With two 7mm holes in the base, one at each end, you mark and drill the rail, then bolt down.

Aluminium base. The 4mm aluminium plate keeps the weight down, and aluminium does not rust.

Where it is used

Use it on the chassis of tipper lorries, tipping trailers and other tipping bodies, where a shorter pad would leave the body sitting clear of the rubber.

Sizes are approximate, as moulded rubber varies slightly.

How to fit it

1. Raise the body and prop it safely before you work under it.
2. Measure the gap between the body and the rail, and mark where they meet.
3. Mark and drill the rail to match the holes, then bolt through both holes with the rubber facing up. Bolts are not included.
4. Lower the body slowly and check that it lands square on the rubber.

Which pad do you need?

Care

Check the pad when you service the vehicle, and replace it if the rubber is split or worn down. SBR rubber does not resist oil or fuel well, so keep the pad clear of leaks and grease.
