Description
One long kerb across the head of the bay, so the wheels stop before the bumper reaches the wall. This 2 metre black parking kerb bolts down at the front of a car parking bay. A driver rolls forward until the front tyres touch it, which keeps the car clear of a building, a footpath, a fence or the car parked opposite. At about 2000mm long it spans most of a standard bay, so a car that is parked a little off centre still meets the kerb with both front wheels. Yellow strips at each end show where it is in poor light. It measures about 2000 x 150 x 100mm and weighs about 17.5kg. The price is for one kerb.

Why this kerb works
Full bay width. Shorter blocks work for one wheel each. A single 2 metre length catches both front wheels, even when the driver parks slightly to one side, and there is only one item to fit per bay.
Yellow at both ends. Textured yellow strips run along both sloping sides at each end, so the ends of the kerb show up from either direction, including in a dim car park. The middle third is plain black.
Sloped sides and ends. The long sides and the ends slope down to the ground, so the kerb has no sharp step for a tyre or a foot to catch, and a wheel meets a firm face rather than a sharp edge.
Four fixing points. Four holes run down through the top along the centre line, one near each end and one either side of the middle, so the kerb is held at both ends and in the centre.
Hollow underside. The base is moulded with open pockets, which keeps the weight down to about 17.5kg for a 2 metre length while the top stays solid.
Where it is used
Use it at the head of bays in office, retail park, hotel, school, hospital and housing car parks, in front of glazed shop fronts and building walls, along footpaths beside parking, and in staff car parks behind business units. It also marks where vehicles should stop in front of bin stores, cycle shelters and fences.

How to fit it
- Set the kerb across the head of the bay, square to the bay lines and far enough from the wall that a car stops with room to open the boot or walk past.
- Mark all 4 holes on the ground.
- Into concrete: drill for and fit 4 M12 x 150mm through bolts. Into tarmac: fit 4 M12 x 150mm set screws with rubber sleeves.
- Tighten the fixings evenly so the kerb sits flat along its full length.
- Check the fixings after the first week of use, then now and then.
Which one do you need?
| Your situation | Choose |
|---|---|
| One kerb across a full car bay | This 2000mm kerb |
| A shorter kerb for each wheel | 900 x 150 x 95mm kerb |
| A short block for tight spaces | 710 x 145 x 100mm kerb or 550 x 150 x 100mm kerb with chevrons |
| A longer steel kerb | 2500mm steel tube kerb stopper |
| A stop for lorries and trailers | HGV truck wheel stop |
Care
Sweep debris away from the kerb so water drains past it, check the fixings now and then, and wash the yellow strips to keep them bright. Replace the kerb if it splits or a fixing hole tears out.
Frequently asked questions
Is the price for one kerb?
Yes, the price is for one 2000mm kerb. Most bays need one. Set the quantity to the number of bays you are fitting.
Are fixings included?
No. You need 4 M12 x 150mm fixings per kerb: through bolts for concrete, or set screws with rubber sleeves for tarmac. Call us and we will quote the right fixings with your order.
Can I fit it to block paving?
Block paving is usually laid on sand, so fixings may not hold. Fix through into a concrete base, or call us to talk through your surface before you order.
Is it suitable for lorries?
No load rating is published for this kerb. It is made for car parking bays. For heavy goods vehicles, choose the HGV truck wheel stop.
