Description
Solid black or solid red PVC strips for QuickMount peg rails, cut to the length you choose and punched ready to push on. Use them to replace torn or worn strips on a solid colour QuickMount curtain, to turn a clear curtain into a full privacy or blackout screen, or to add one or two red strips to a clear curtain to mark the edges of a walkway. Each strip is priced on its own, inc VAT, so you buy exactly the number you need with no calculator and no surprises at checkout.
Which strip do I need?

To replace a strip, match the width and thickness of the strips already on your rail. Measure the width with a tape and compare the thickness with a 2mm or 3mm sample. Not sure? Send us a photo of your rail and we will tell you which strip fits.

Choosing the length
Measure an old strip end to end. If it is damaged, measure from the top of the rail to just above the floor. Lengths run from 1000mm in 100mm steps, up to 3000mm for 200mm strips and up to 5000mm for 300mm strips. If you fall between two lengths, go up one: the strips trim cleanly with a sharp knife against a straight edge. Need an exact length to the millimetre, or a large quantity? Call us for a quote.
What solid colour strips do
Privacy and blackout. The PVC is fully opaque, so a curtain of black strips blocks the view and the light completely. Use it for store rooms, staff areas and darkrooms.
High visibility. Red strips stand out at a distance. Hang one at each edge of a clear curtain and people and trolleys can see where the walkway begins and ends, or use a full red curtain to mark a restricted area.
Draught, dust and noise. Like clear strips, solid strips hold heat in, keep dust and draughts out and take the edge off noise between areas, while still letting people walk straight through with full hands.
No metal plates. QuickMount strips carry no plates or hooks. A strip that is pulled down has nothing hard attached to it, which is why the system is used in schools and nurseries.

Fitting and care
Lift the old strip off the pegs. Line up the slots on the new strip with the pegs, push it on and overlap the strips either side as before. No tools are needed and the rail stays on the wall. Strips travel rolled, so the bottom may curl up slightly at first. Unroll them flat overnight before hanging, or roll them the other way, and the curl drops out. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. PVC is a consumable: strips last longest fitted inside, behind a door or opening that gives some shelter from the weather.
Frequently asked questions
Will these fit my rail?
They are punched for QuickMount push-fit peg rails, the plastic rail with a row of short downward pegs. They do not fit hook-on stainless or galvanised rails, swivel hinge rails or twin track rails, which take different strips.
Can I mix red strips into a clear curtain?
Yes, as long as the width and thickness match the clear strips. Most clear QuickMount curtains use 200mm x 2mm. Clear spares are on our QuickMount clear strips page.
Do you sell other colours?
Black and red are the stocked colours for single strips. White is available as a complete solid colour QuickMount kit; call us for single white strips.
Can I use them in a freezer or outdoors?
They are rated 0°C to +40°C, so not for freezers. They can be used on outside doors, but full exposure to sun and weather shortens their life.
Is there a minimum order?
We suggest 10 strips, the usual number for a doorway, and the basket will offer it. You can still order fewer.
