Description
A striped chock with a steel handle, for areas where you need the warning colours. Black and yellow stripes run across the whole chock, the colours used to mark a hazardous environment, and a cast steel handle on one end gives you a firm grip when you carry it or pull it clear. It is about 175mm wide at the base, 150mm high and 366mm long, and weighs about 8kg. Your airline or operator's guidelines set the chock size for each aircraft type, so check those before you order. The price is for one chock.

Why this chock works
Steel handle, no rope to manage. There is no rope to fray, or to lay out clear of the wheel. The yellow cast handle sits on the end of the chock, fixed on a bar that runs through it, and the other end is held with a bolt.
Hazard stripes. The alternate black and yellow bands tell people this chock belongs in a hazardous area and make it easy to see on an apron.
A very solid construction. It is moulded from SBR rubber with fine ribs along the sloped faces. At about 8kg, it stays where you put it but is not hard to carry.
No wrong way up. The triangular section has three matching faces, so a flat face always sits on the ground and a sloped face meets the tyre.
No load rating or test standard is published for this line. If your specification needs either, call us before you order.
Where it is used
Use it on fuel aprons and in hazardous areas where your site procedure calls for marked equipment, and at hangars and stands where you prefer a fixed handle to a rope.

Which chock do you need?
| Your situation | Choose |
|---|---|
| Hazard stripes and a steel handle | This chock |
| Solid yellow, with a rope, 333mm long | 175 x 160 x 333mm chock |
| Black, with a rope, 333mm long | 170 x 155 x 333mm chock |

Care
Check the chock and handle before use, and make sure the handle is tight. SBR rubber does not resist oil or fuel well, so wipe off fuel and hydraulic fluid promptly.
Frequently asked questions
Is the price for one chock or a pair?
The price is for one chock with its handle. Set the quantity to 2 for one each side of a wheel.
Does it come with a rope?
No. This chock has a cast steel handle in place of a rope.
Is it approved for use in a hazardous zone?
The stripes mark the chock for use in a hazardous environment, but no certificate is published for this line. If your site needs one, call us before you order.
Will it suit my aircraft?
That depends on your airline or operator's guidelines, which set the length and size of chock for each aircraft type. We can't approve a chock for an aircraft type, so please check first.
