Description
A shallow domed dish pressed from steel sheet. 50mm diameter, 1mm sheet, in raw steel. Fit it under a candle to catch the wax, or weld it on as a domed cap. The price shown is for one piece, with a minimum order of 10.
Why choose this piece
Ready to use. It comes already cut and pressed, so every piece in a run matches and there is no cutting to do.
The look. A smooth shallow dish that catches wax neatly and looks right on wrought iron.
Easy to fix. Weld, braze or rivet it in place, or drill the centre for a candle spike.
These are pressed parts rather than precision-machined ones, so the diameter and depth can vary by a few millimetres from piece to piece. If you need an exact size, call us before ordering.

Drip trays on candle holders, candelabras, wall sconces and floor candle stands, domed caps for round posts, and small dishes for garden metalwork.

Finishing
Wire brush and degrease, then prime with a metal primer and paint. Outdoors, use a zinc-rich primer or have the finished work hot-dip galvanised. For candle holders, a heat-resistant black paint gives the classic wrought iron look.

Is the price for one piece?
Yes, it is for one piece, with a minimum order of 10.
Can I weld it?
Yes. It is plain mild steel, so it MIG, TIG, stick welds and brazes easily. Use a low setting on the thin sheet.
Why is there rust on it?
It is raw steel with no coating, so light surface rust can form in storage. It wire brushes off before priming.
