Description
A strip curtain is only as good as its worst strip. One torn, scuffed or cloudy strip lets draughts and dust through and makes the whole doorway look neglected. These clear PVC strips are cut to the length you choose and arrive with a stainless steel hook-on plate already riveted across the top, ready to hook straight onto your rail. Lift the old strip off, hook the new one on, and the curtain is back to full clarity. Choose from 11 strip sizes, from 100mm x 1mm up to 400mm x 4mm, and lengths from 1000mm to 3000mm. The plate is included in the price.
Which strip do I need?
To replace a strip, match the width and thickness of the strips already on your rail. Measure the width with a tape and compare the thickness with a 2mm, 3mm or 4mm sample, or call us and we will help.

Choosing the length
Measure an old strip end to end, including the plate. If it is damaged, measure from the rail to just above the floor. Lengths run from 1000mm to 3000mm in 100mm steps. If you fall between two lengths, go up one: the bottom of the strip trims with a sharp knife against a straight edge.
Why replace strips, not the curtain
Cheaper. A 200mm x 2mm strip at 2000mm long costs £18.90 with its plate, so a few new strips cost far less than a new kit.
Ready to hang. The stainless steel plate is fitted before it leaves us. There are no plates, rivets or tools to buy, and the rail stays on the wall.
Back to full clarity. Scuffed PVC goes cloudy and reduces the view through the doorway. New strips restore it, which matters on routes shared by people, trolleys and vehicles.

Fitting
Lift the old strip so its plate comes off the hooks on the rail. Line up the new plate with the hooks, hook it on and let it hang, overlapping the strips either side as before. Strips travel rolled, so a slight curl at the bottom is normal and relaxes in time, more slowly in the cold. Unrolling them flat overnight before hanging helps.
Frequently asked questions
Will these fit my rail?
They fit hook-on rails, the flat metal rail with a row of hooks along its edge, like the stainless rail on our hook-on kits. Check that your old strips have a metal plate across the top. For a plastic peg rail, choose our QuickMount strips instead.
Is the plate included?
Yes. Every strip comes with its stainless steel plate fitted, and the price shown includes it.
Can I use them in a freezer?
No. Standard clear PVC is recommended for 0°C to +40°C and stiffens in the cold. For a freezer, choose our hook-on freezer replacement strips, polar grade PVC that stays flexible down to -24°C, or the complete freezer kit.
Are these food-contact strips?

Do you do ribbed strips for forklift doorways?
Yes. Our hook-on ribbed replacement strips have raised ribs that take the scuffing from loads, in 200mm, 300mm and 400mm widths up to 10m long, with the same plate fitted.
