Description
A short bumper can be caught by a trailer riding on its suspension and pulled straight off the wall. This extra tall 750 x 250 x 100mm rubber dock bumper is made to prevent that, because an HGV is far less likely to get underneath a face this long. It is one solid moulded block weighing 19.5kg, and it bolts to your dock face through three recessed holes. Choose it for busy goods-in doors, mixed fleets and walls where a shorter bumper has already been torn away. The price is for one bumper, and most doors need two.

Why a 750mm bumper works
It stops HGVs riding underneath. The 750mm length is the point of this bumper. A shorter block can let a trailer get under it and rip it off the wall, and the extra length is there to prevent that. Fitted with a bracket, it can also help stop a delivery vehicle riding over the top.
Three fixings in one line. The holes sit 100mm in from each end and 275mm apart, so the fixings run the full length of the block.
Bolt heads stay behind the rubber. Each hole is 75mm wide for the first 50mm, then 30mm through to the wall. The bolt and washer sit down inside the recess, away from the face the trailer touches.
A general-purpose dock bumper rubber. The block is a blend of SBR and natural rubber at 70-75 Shore A (+/- 5), with good tear resistance and a service temperature of -15°C to 70°C. No back plate or front plate is needed, and none comes with it.

Where it is used
Use it on concrete loading bay faces at national distribution centres, cold chain hubs, shared docks and factory goods-in doors, wherever a mix of vehicles uses the same bay. It is also the natural replacement where a shorter bumper keeps tearing off.
Parts that fit
Three rubber packers (15mm, 20mm and 50mm) bring the stand-off out to 115, 120 or 150mm. A 760 x 260 x 60mm steel front plate takes the rubbing on a busy door. You will find these parts on our 750 x 250 x 100mm dock bumper page.
Fitting and care
You need 750 x 250mm of clear, sound surface, in line with the part of the trailer that reaches the dock first. Offer the bumper up, mark the wall through its three holes, then drill for your M24 fixings. It weighs 19.5kg, so plan for two people. Fit one each side of the door. Have a competent installer confirm that the wall and anchors suit your dock, because a bumper can only pass on what its fixing point can take.
Check the rubber and fixings during routine dock inspections, and replace the bumper once it is torn or worn back towards the bolt heads. A dock bumper protects the building and vehicle from routine contact. It is not a vehicle restraint.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the price for one bumper or a pair? One bumper. Most doors use one on each side, so set the quantity to 2 for each door.
Are fixings included? No. The holes take M24 fixings, 30mm through and opening to 75mm wide for the bolt head and washer. If your wall needs a particular anchor, call us before you order.
Does it have a steel back plate? No. It is a solid rubber block that fixes directly to a sound wall through its three holes.
Can it go on brick as well as concrete? Yes, provided the brickwork is sound. For older brick dock faces, ask a structural engineer whether the wall can take the anchor load. Concrete is the better surface for anchor strength.
Will it replace my worn 750mm bumper? Check your existing holes first. If yours are 275mm apart and 100mm in from each end, on a 750 x 250mm block, it should line up with your existing fixing points.
