Description
One flange for post feet, wall ends and stair edges, ready drilled. This moulded yellow GRP flange has a 110mm socket for a 50mm GRP tube and a rounded triangular plate with three 10mm fixing holes. Use it as the foot of a post, as a wall plate to end a rail against a wall, or with a 3 way tee to run a rail along a wall. On stairs its triangle shape lets the post stand closer to the edge of the tread than a square foot. It comes pre-drilled with the stainless M10 bolt that locks the post in. The price shown is for one.

Load tested system
The 50mm GRP tube handrail system these parts belong to has been load tested by an independent UK laboratory as a straight two-rail balustrade, 1100mm high with a mid rail at 550mm and posts at 1000mm centres. It carried 0.4 kN/m, above the 0.36 kN/m general duty load for industrial handrails in BS 4592-0.
Pre-drilled, bolt included
This is the drilled version: the socket is drilled for the post bolt and the stainless M10 bolt comes with it. An undrilled triangular base flange is also available. Floor or wall anchors are not included.

Fitting
Push the post fully into the socket, line up the holes and fit the M10 bolt. Stand the flange in place, mark through the three holes, drill and fix with anchors or bolts to suit the floor or wall.
Care
Wash down with water and mild detergent. Check the bolts once a year and after any impact. GRP needs no painting.
