If your concrete has gone grey and stained but is still sound, you may not need to replace it. There is nothing to mix, two coats can go on in a day at 20°C, and each 5kg tin covers 35–50m² per coat.

Made for concrete and stone, not tarmac
This paint is formulated for concrete and stone surfaces. If your drive is tarmac or asphalt, choose our black tarmac paint instead.
Made to be parked on
It resists hot tyre pickup, which is the usual reason a painted drive flakes and peels where the car stands. The high resin content also helps it resist staining and discolouring.
Easy on the person applying it
It is low in VOCs and odour. Rollers and brushes wash out in warm, soapy water, and any leftover paint can be resealed in the tin for later.

When not to use it: on new or wet concrete (under 21 days old, or with a residual moisture content of 6% or higher), below 7°C, or in damp, humid or extreme temperatures. It colours and protects the surface but does not repair it, so make good any cracks first. Painted car parks usually need their bays re-marking, so ask us about line marking paint.

How many tins do I need?
Multiply the length by the width to get your area in m², then use this table. It allows for two coats at 35m² per coat, the cautious end of the range, so one tin covers 17.5m². Smooth, sealed concrete may stretch to 25m² per tin; old or very porous concrete will not.

Application Guide
Surface Preparation
- Remove all loose, flaking or peeling material.
- Sweep or vacuum away dust, dirt and debris.
- Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from grease or contaminants.
- Do not apply to damp surfaces.
- Protect the coating from rain during the first 24 hours after application.
Use a wire brush on anything loose, and clean off oil and grease with a suitable cleaning solution and water, then let the surface dry completely. Repair damaged or cracked areas with mortar or a proprietary repair product before you paint.
Application
Apply using a roller, brush or paint pad. Allow the first coat to dry before applying a second coat for maximum durability and an even finish.
- Check the conditions: at least 7°C and dry, with no rain due for 24 hours.
- Stir: stir the paint thoroughly. If you are using several tins, mix them together in a scuttle for an even colour.
- First coat: start in a corner and work inwards, cross-rolling in an even coat.
- Second coat: apply after 4–6 hours, once the surface is touch dry. Below 20°C, allow longer.
- Aftercare: keep the surface free of contamination. Do not wash it or expose it to chemicals for 7 days.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use it on tarmac?
No. It is listed for concrete and stone. For tarmac or asphalt, use our black tarmac paint, which is made for that surface.
When can I drive on it?
No vehicle time is published. It takes foot traffic after 4–6 hours and has a final dry time of 8 hours at 20°C, and it needs protecting from rain for 24 hours. We suggest keeping cars off for at least the first 24 hours, and longer in cool weather.
Will it fill cracks?
No. Repair damaged or cracked concrete with mortar or a proprietary repair product before you paint, or the cracks will still show through.
Can I paint new concrete?
Not straight away. Do not apply it to surfaces under 21 days old or with a residual moisture content of 6% or higher.
Is it slippery?
The finish is matt, but no slip resistance rating is published for this line. If the area slopes or carries pedestrians, check it suits the job and call us before you order.
