Description
This fitting puts two flat fixing lugs on a tube post, at 90° to each other, so panels or swivel parts can be bolted on at a corner. The 42.4mm tube passes straight through the barrel and one grub screw locks the fitting at any height. Each lug is a flat tongue with a hole for a rivet or bolt. On its own it holds two light infill panels meeting at a right angle; riveted to two female swivel parts it becomes the male half of the 90° corner double swivel. It is malleable cast iron with a galvanised finish for indoor and outdoor use. The price shown is for one fitting, with a minimum order of 5.

What it is for
Corner fixings for light panels. Mesh, perforated sheet, acrylic or board panels with a flat edge can be bolted straight to the lugs. With one fitting per corner post and height, two panels meet at exactly 90° without welding brackets to the post.
Half of the corner double swivel. Rivet a female swivel part to each lug and you have a 90° corner double swivel, for joining tubes at awkward angles that fixed fittings cannot reach.
Adjustable on the post. The barrel slides up and down the tube and turns round it until the grub screw is tightened, so panels can be lined up on site.
Galvanised malleable iron. Suitable outdoors, and malleable iron bends before it cracks.
Where it is used
Shop and garden centre display stands, exhibition panel corners, light mesh enclosures and pet runs, garden and allotment frames, small machine guards, and custom swivel joints on light tube frames.

How many do you need?
For panels, one fitting at each fixing height on each corner post. Most panels are fixed at two heights, top and bottom, so a corner post needs two. For swivels, one per corner double swivel you are building, plus two female parts each.
Choosing the right size
Key clamps are sized by the tube's outside diameter. 42.4mm tube is often sold as 1¼" or 32mm nominal bore. Measure across the tube: this fitting will not grip 40mm or 48.3mm tube. Other sizes of the same part:
Fitting and care
Slide the fitting onto the post before anything is fitted above it. Turn it so the lugs face the panels, set the height and tighten the grub screw firmly with a 5/16" hex key. Bolt or rivet the panel edges, or the female swivel parts, through the lug holes. Check the screw and bolts after the first week and once a year. Touch up scratched galvanising with zinc-rich paint.
Frequently asked questions
Is the price for one fitting?
Yes. The price is for one double male part with its grub screw. Rivets, bolts and female swivel parts are not included. The minimum order is 5.
Is this the complete swivel?
No. It is the male half only. For a ready-made swivel, buy the complete corner double swivel instead.
Can it hold a gate or a rail?
No. The lugs are not designed to take sideways loads. Use it for panels and swivel joints that are not pushed or leaned on.
Can I use it outdoors?
Yes. The galvanised finish is made for outdoor use.
