Surface Preparation

Proper preparation is essential for the best results.

• Remove any loose, flaking or peeling paint.
• Sand the surface to create a sound mechanical key.
• Remove all dust and debris using a brush or vacuum.
• Wipe the surface with a suitable cleaning solvent such as methylated spirits and allow to dry completely before priming.

Priming

For optimum adhesion and durability, apply a suitable primer designed for garage doors before painting. Ensure the primer has fully cured before applying the topcoat.

Brush & Roller Application

1. Stir thoroughly before use.
2. Apply the first coat evenly using a brush or roller.
3. Start at one corner and work methodically across the surface.
4. Allow to dry for 4–6 hours.
5. Apply a second coat for maximum protection.
6. Reseal any unused paint for future use.

Spray Gun Application

1. Stir thoroughly before use.
2. Dilute with up to 10% clean water if required by your spray equipment.
3. Pour into the spray gun following the manufacturer's instructions.
4. Protect surrounding surfaces from overspray.
5. Apply an even coat.
6. Allow 4–6 hours before applying a second coat if required.
7. Clean any overspray immediately using water and household detergent while still wet.
