This set gives you two portable wireless handsets that talk directly to each other, with a listed range of 600 metres line of sight. Each handset has its own charging cradle and UK plug-in charger, so one can stay in the gatehouse or goods-in office while the other goes with whoever is out on the floor. It suits warehouses, factories, farms and yards where people need a quick word without walking over.

Why it works on a big site

A call that gets noticed. Each handset alerts you with a chime, a vibration and a flashing light, so a call has a chance of being picked up beside machinery. The volume is adjustable and a missed call indicator shows if nobody answered.

A one-to-one conversation. You can run any number of handsets on one system, and the first handset to answer takes the call. The others drop out, so a wider team is not all listening in.

Push to talk for the far end. The handsets have a push to talk mode, listed as giving further wireless reach than a normal conversation. How much further is not published.

Room to grow. You can add more handsets later. They can also work with up to two compatible gate or door caller stations, which is where the door and gate release and front and rear gate indicators come in. Caller stations are not part of this set.

Know the limits. The 600 metres is line of sight. Steel buildings, racking and walls will shorten it, and no in-building figure is published, so test it on your own site. It is sold as an indoor system and no IP rating is published, so keep the handsets out of rain and wash-down areas. No encryption or hazardous-area rating is published either, so it is not a secure radio or a device for explosive atmospheres. It is a convenience link, not an emergency alarm.

Where it is used

Typical uses are linking a gatehouse to a yard team, goods-in to the warehouse floor, a farm office to outbuildings, and a reception or workshop to staff elsewhere on the premises.

Specifications

What you get

2 portable handsets, 2 charging cradles, 2 chargers with UK 3-pin plugs

Operating range

600 metres line of sight

Operating frequency

863 to 869 MHz

Alerts

Chime, vibration and flashing light

Display and indicators

Battery level, missed call, indoor temperature, front and rear gate

Other functions

Volume control, push to talk, door or gate release functions

Handset size

150mm high x 50mm wide x 22mm deep

Cradle size

40mm high x 62mm wide x 50mm deep

Battery

3.7V 1100mAh rechargeable lithium

Charger

100 to 240V AC input, 6V DC 500mA output

Colour

Black with a metallic trim

Warranty

1 year manufacturer warranty

Country of origin

China

Talk time, standby time, weight, IP rating

Not published for this line

Choosing the right setup

Your situation

What to do

Two people or two fixed points

This set is all you need

Three or more people on the same system

Start with this set and call us about extra handsets

Visitors at a gate or door need to call you

You also need a compatible caller station, so call us before ordering

Long distance with buildings in between

Allow well under 600 metres and test both ends before relying on it

Wet, wash-down or explosive atmospheres

Choose equipment rated for that area.
